Israel Cats

The goal of our project was to create a website that would help people better understand street cats, learn about ways to assist and contribute to their wellbeing. The site had to be visually appealing, engaging, and at the same time, deeply informative. On the one hand, we wanted to attract people with beautiful and interesting design, on the other hand, we wanted to arouse their interest and readiness to take an active part in improving the life of street cats.

Task:

Challenge:

Street cats in Israel are more than a part of the urban landscape. They are a source of joy, kindness and care. But many people are unaware of how to properly interact with these urban dwellers. We have decided to turn our love for street cats into a practical project by creating an informative website about them. The question is: how create a resource that is not only informative but also captures people's attention, engages them and makes them think?

Solution:

We developed an informational website that combines a vibrant and captivating design, informative content and active user engagement. It is filled with colorful photographs, animations and unique cat life stories presented in an interactive format.

You will learn how we turned our love for street cats into a practical project that helps improve their lives and raises public awareness about their problems.

The tail behind our tale: Our research process

We deeply immersed in research work. Our sources included scientific studies, research papers, statistics, government portals, blogs, and dozens of articles from various resources. Our goal was to compile accurate and useful information.

A key part of our research was understanding the government's perspective on these little wanderers. We examined many governmental articles and the current policy towards street cats.

We started with a question that intrigued many: Why are there so many cats in Israel? To answer this, we conducted a comprehensive review of scientific research, statistical data, and historical archives.

The next step was studying the impact of street cats on wildlife, relying on scientific studies and statistical data. After all, this issue is closely tied to the country's ecology and biodiversity.

And, of course, we didn't forget about the most noticeable representatives of this "population" - Israel's famous cats. They became a bright ornament of our website and true heroes for many users.

"Incredible! I never thought there was so much to know about cats. StreetCats is a true encyclopedia for cat lovers!"

"I adore your website! Every time I open it, I feel like going to Israel right away and feeding a couple of local cats!"

It was a surprise to us that other studios took this site as a example, and it even appeared in the curricula of web design schools.

We did not strive for such recognition, but it was a wonderful confirmation that we did more than just a visually appealing product. This was evidence that our site has become truly useful, contributed to the improvement of interactions between people and street cats, and showed that we are moving in the right direction. This experience has inspired us to further develop and perfect our projects.
